24 Season 3

Where We Left Off: Captain America, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), saved the world from nuclear destructions.  Meanwhile, President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) lay dying after getting a poisonous high-five

What’s New: Cast changes aplenty.  Baddie Sherry Palmer (Penny Johnson Jerald) and good girl Kate Warner (Sarah Wynter) are out.  Joining the increasingly Canadian cast is Wendy Crewson, who will effectively become the new female co-lead.  Also in the mix is a new, young partner for Jack and new additions D.B. Woodside, Agnes Bruckner and Zachary Quinto.

Where It’s Going: There hasn’t been a show this tight-lipped since The X-Files, though we can tell you there will be South American drug trafficking involved and the premiere will air commercial-free.  Other than that, we can say that Haysbert was seen at a party for the new Fox fall schedule.  Draw your own conclusions.  Return Oct. 28

As an interesting aside, the previous edition talked about the 'New Shows'  IF you haven't heard of the bona-fide 24 knockoff 'Threat Matrix' here's what they had to say about that...
Starring: James Denton (Philly), Kelly Rutherford (Melrose Place) Will Lyman  9The Siege), Kurt Cacres (All My Children), Mahershalalhashbaz Ali (Crossing Jordan)
It’s About: Elite agents culled from the CIA, NSA and FBI analyze the level of terrorist threat in the US.  As you will be reminded every five or six minutes in this show, their job is to keep us safe.
What’s Good: Fancy editing, high-tech gadgets and terse dialogue, which may remind some viewers of hits like CSI and Law & Order.
What’s Bad: There is way too much information to keep straight, way too many characters to keep track of and a lot of bold, shiny American patriotism staring out form every shot.
Bottom Line: This show will be cancelled faster than you can say “orange alert.”
